The Online Communications Tool for Caregivers

Carenection is a family caregiver support system. It uniquely integrates communication tools, health information management, and education through a secure, web-based interface. The heart of the system is secure, private communication and communication support. Surrounding the communication tools are a health information management tool set and a variety of information modules, such as education, articles, and links to resources.

Carenection is designed to integrate with and support an organization's membership; or a company's existing employee assistance program (EAP) or work/life program. It provides significant value to the organization's members or employee-caregivers as they face caring for aging parents and friends.

The system is centered on creating a care group composed of a primary caregiver and others providing support. The primary caregiver is an informal or family caregiver, but the group may include professionals as well as other informal caregivers. Access to information at the group level is restricted to group members and may be further restricted depending on the individual group member's role.
